TKT Module 2 Course

This course is provided by the ACE TEFL team in collaboration with Study Rooms.

Participants: This course is intended for:

  • Those who want to become English language teachers and wish to learn more about lesson planning and appropriate materials and resources they can use in the classroom.
  • Those who wish to move on to a more demanding Cambridge English Teaching Qualification, e.g. the CELTA course, and want to learn more about lesson planning.
  • Teachers who wish to get a globally recognised qualification and prove their lesson planning skills.

Duration and Schedule: The course comprises 20 contact hours including seminars and workshops. Participants will also be required to do some background studying and complete a set of tasks in their own time.

Delivery mode: The course is delivered online via Zoom or face-to-face.

Tuition fees: The fee for this course is €190 (£171).

Start date: February 15th, 2021

Course Description: Participants take part in live sessions and workshops looking at areas which need to be considered when planning a lesson or a series of lessons. In particular, they familiarise themselves with planning all types of lessons, identifying and stating aims, anticipating potential learner problems in relation to the activities/procedures used, and suggesting suitable solutions to these problems. Participants also become familiar with and evaluate a variety of published materials, resources, materials, and teaching aids which are used in the classroom to make teaching and learning more effective and enjoyable.
